  • Diamond Naturals
  • Premium Edge
  • Professional
  • 4Health
  • Taste of the Wild
  • Natural Balance
  • Canidae
  • Wellness

What is Salmonella?
Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause diarrhea, fever and abdominal pain.  In some cases if left untreated, Salmonella can lead to serious illness or death in humans and dogs.

How Can I Check if My Dog’s Food Has Been Contaminated?
Check the production code on the package. The contaminated food has the letter “X” in the 11th position and either the number two (2) or three (3) in the ninth or tenth position.  The code can be found just above the “Best By” date.

My product is contaminated, what should I do?
If you or your pet are displaying any signs of illness, seek immediately medical attention. Cease feeding your pet the contaminated dog food. If you have a product that is under recall, download a recall refund form from the Diamond website. Contact Diamond directly at (866) 918-8756 if you have questions about your pet’s food.
